Fall smallmouth on Lake Erie near Buffalo NY

nowoct010Most people think that because fall is here and winter will soon be upon us that it signals the end of fishing on Lake Erie near Buffalo NY. Nothing could be further from the truth. As the temperatures of Lake Erie begin to fall it triggers the bass to feed like crazy to build up fat for the winter and the maturation of the females eggs.  Fishing many of the areas you would normally fish in the spring will put some really nice smallmouth into your boat.
